How to Blog in Tamil ?
Few weeks back, i got a chance to read some tamil blogs.
Most of the Tamil blogs are really superb.
I know that they definitely spend more time in composing all their blogs.
Atleast in some places i need to blog my postings in tamil
So i checkout how to blog in tamil in easy way ?
Here are the easy ways to blog your postings in Tamil
1 : Go to this link Unicode Writer http://www.jaffnalibrary.com/tools/Unicode.htm
2 : Save the Page in .mht format in your local machine
3 : Open the page from your local machine (Double Click the saved Page)
4 : There are two Text Areas in this page
a) Top Text Area - Area to Type the English characters
b) Bottom Text Area - Area which shows the Tamil Characters
5 : When the page gets loaded initially, the Top Text Area is Blank and Bottom Text Area Contains some Tamil words.
6 : Between this two Text Areas, there is a small seperator which contains Font Names (thaminglish,Bamini,amudham,Tam) with option button
7 : You need to choose any of the Font Name.For easy blogging, i choose the font "thaminglish" (Tamil words in English)
8 : After choosing a Font Name, you begin to type in the Top Text Area
9 : Whatever the word you typed (in English) in the Top Text Area, Tamil characters will begin to display in the Bottom Text Area according to the Font you have selected
10: For each font, keyboard Layouts are different (you need to download the Keyboard layout from net)
11: Once you composed all your messages, just click the "Copy" button
12: Some machines will display an alert message box "Do you want to allow this webpage to access your clipboard ?", since it uses some activex which access the system.
13: Choose the button "Allow access" in that alert box
14: Paste the copied things in the Blog Composing area
[Store the File locally]
The following steps are for the people those who want to store copied tamil unicodes in notepad file.
15: Create a new notepad file
16: Paste the copied contents. After pasting the things, all the characters not in the user readable form
17: Save the file
a) File Name :
b) Save as Type : "All Files"
c) Encoding : Unicode
